Lake Annecy & The French Alps - Day 1
We head south early this morning and cross the channel into France. Comfort breaks will be made throughout the day as we head to our overnight hotel in Reims, arriving in time to relax before dinner.
Lake Annecy & The French Alps - Day 2
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Annecy. En-route we call at Beaune, the wine capital Burgundy for ‘refreshments’. We arrive at our hotel later this afternoon and settle in before our evening meal.
Lake Annecy & The French Alps - Day 3-7
During the next 5 days you can enjoy three fantastic excursions and two days at leisure in resort. The city of Annecy is the perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday. The picturesque Lake, beautiful mountain scenery and charming atmosphere of the old town make Annecy one of the best resorts in Europe.
The lake offers beautiful promenades and gardens along its bank and pleasant lawn-lined swimming beaches, enjoy coffee and a croissant in one of the restaurants and cafés, take a cruise on the lake, amble through the narrow, cobbled streets and enjoy some retail therapy in the various shops or visit to some of the city’s interesting museums and 17th century buildings, the choice is yours.
Today we take a scenic trip through the Alps to visit stylish Chamonix, this charming town is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and presided over by the ever white Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest peak. During your free time why not take a cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi or visit the living Mer de Glace glacier by historic railway for an amazing view of the valley.
Our excursion today takes us to Geneva, in its compact centre there are a multitude of museums, historic houses, parks and gardens and pretty cobbled streets lined with charming cafés. Highlights here include the waterfront with its lovely parks and promenades, Saint Peter’s Cathedral, the famous Flower Clock in the English Garden and the Jet d’Eau which creates the world’s tallest water plume. Geneva also offers a splendid choice of shops, from exquisite jewellery and watches to designer boutiques and delicious chocolatiers.
This morning we head to the charming town of Chambéry, this town has guarded the mountain passes that lead to Italy for centuries. There are several interesting museums, such as the Musée Savoisien, which chronicles the history of the region from the Bronze Age onwards and the Fine Arts Museum which contains an important collection of early Italian Masters.

After breakfast we begin our return journey to Reims and our overnight hotel, making refreshment breaks en-route we will arrive in good time for dinner.

We continue back to the UK today and onto your original joining points, arriving home this evening.
