Stirling Castle

Morning visit to Stirling Castle: This is one of Scotland’s most historically important sites and was once a favoured residence of the Stewart kings and nqueens who held grand celebrations at the castle. Knights, nobles and foreign ambassadors once flocked there to revel in its grandeur, with its superb sculptures and beautiful gardens.

 

Loch Lomond & Inverary

Today we explore the Highland beauty of this picturesque area. We travel via Drymen to Loch Lomond Shores for a bit of retail therapy. We continue through stunning scenery to the Royal Burgh of Inveraray. Overlooking the still waters of Loch Fyne, Inveraray is a traditional county town of Argyll. Established in 1745 by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, head of the powerful Clan Campbell, the town is an absolute set piece of Scottish Georgian architecture

 

Falkirk Wheel & the Kelpies

This morning we visit two of Scotland’s top attractions; The Kelpies – towering 30 metres above the Forth and Clyde canal. These steel equine structures pay homage to the
horsepower which built industrial Scotland. Nearby, is the award-winning Falkirk Wheel, another testament to Scotland’s proud heritage. Board the boat to be hoisted 35 metres on the world’s only rotating boatlift.
