This morning we travel to Aviemore and some free time before boarding our steam train on the Strathspey Railway, where our journey takes us through some spectacular Speyside mountainous scenery.
We then enjoy some time in Grantown on Spey which is followed by a visit to the Highland Heather Centre at Dulnain Bridge.
Today we travel to Inverness and the Kyle Line train, we journey through some dramatic scenery climbing over the Highlands and through the carved solid rock that leads to Kyle of Lochalsh, it is little wonder Michael Palin described this journey as “one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world”.
We then continue on to Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised all around the world.

We travel to Fort William where we board the Jacobite Steam Railway for a two-hour journey to Mallaig, having been made world famous by the Harry Potter movies. Absorb the beautiful views of lochs, mountains, Glenfinnan Viaduct and Loch Morar.
The road journey back is very different to the rail journey. We stop off in Glenfinnan to see Bonnie Prince Charlie’s monument, the 21 arched viaduct & Loch Shiel.
