We visit the cathedral city of Worcester. The magnificent cathedral has a variety of architecture, from Norman to Gothic and the Porcelain Museum is well worth a visit.
In the afternoon, we travel to evesham to board a canal boat for a delightful two hour cruise through tranquil countryside on the River Avon with a delicious cream tea included.
We follow the Black and White Village trail, travelling through some of the most attractive villages in England including Weobley, Pembridge and Eardisland.
We enjoy a steam train ride on the Severn Valley Railway, one of the country’s finest heritage lines which runs for 16 miles from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.
Later we visit West Midland Safari Park which features over 600 animals and dozens of species, many of them endangered.
The four-mile drive takes us round a series of enclosures, beginning with two prides of lions.
Once the home of Prime Minister Sir Stanley Baldwin, this much extended country house is set in attractive grounds.
Most of the bedrooms are in a purpose-built section adjacent to the main house and offer en-suite facilities, telephone, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, television.
