We travel to Battle, a charming market town which grew up around Battle Abbey, scene of the Battle of Hastings which took place on 14th October 1066.
We continue to the resort of hastings.
Morning visit to Bexhill-on- Sea, the birthplace of British motor racing and home of the De La Warr Pavilion.
Inspired by the 9th Earl De La Warr, the Pavilion was built in 1935 as a pioneering centre for cultural excellence for local people and visitors alike.
In 2005, an £8m redevelopment programme continued that vision, creating an international centre for contemporary art.
This splendid traditional hotel enjoys an enviable position at the quieter end of the parade, overlooking the Western Lawns and Wish Tower and is just a few minutes' walk from many of the town's attractions.
There are lovely comfortable lounges to relax in.
Seaview rooms on request (supplement applies).
Two nights entertainment.
